Health Insurance Help and Information

GLCAC can help educate and enroll you in the new health coverage programs now available under the federal Affordable Care Act.  The GLCAC has been designated an official Navigator by the Massachusetts Health Connector.

With all of the changes in state and federal health care laws, GLCAC provides Greater Lawrence residents and small businesses with up-to-date education, guidance and enrollment assistance.

Ways to Enroll

Walk in: GLCAC Navigator, 305 Essex St. 2nd Floor, Lawrence.  (Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times.)

Regular Hours:

8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday, -  Friday

Extended Hours

8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday - Thursday, during the Open Enrollment period of November 1 to January 23.

Learn about Health Coverage Resources

Qualified Health Plans
Comprehensive health insurance plans offered through Massachusetts Health Connector. Individuals and families with incomes up to approximately $48,240 ($98,200 for a family of four) may be eligible for subsidies to help reduce the cost of health coverage.

ConnectorCare
This is comprehensive health insurance for individuals with income up to approximately $35,310 ($72,750  for a family of four), who are eligible for additional subsidies and cost sharing reductions to help reduce the cost of health coverage.

Low Income Subsidy
People with limited incomes and limited assets may qualify for help paying for their monthly premium and/or some of their prescription drug costs.

MassHealth and The Children’s Medical Security Plan
Health coverage program for income eligible individuals and families. Some families who have insurance may now be able to have their premiums paid for by the Commonwealth.

Health Safety Net
Income-eligible residents in Massachusetts quality for free care to acute care hospitals and community health centers in the state.
