Tuesday, Jul 30, 2019

LAWRENCE – The 7th Annual Community Resource Fair hosted by the Greater Lawrence Community Action Council, Inc. will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Campagnone Park.

The Community Resource Fair connects families and individuals with essential service providers in Greater Lawrence.  The fair features non-profit organizations, local businesses and government offices offering assistance with education, financial services, health, housing, social services, job training, youth activities and other issues.

“The Resource Fair has become an important way for GLCAC to help connect individuals and families with our programs and those offered by our fellow service organizations and the City of Lawrence,’’ said Evelyn Friedman, executive director of GLCAC. “The Resource Fair is a fun way to educate families about the many services available to help them overcome challenges.’’

Non-profit organizations and Lawrence businesses interested in registering and reserving space at the fair should contact GLCAC at (978) 681-4920. Organizations should provide their own table or rent one from GLCAC for a fee. The rain date is Aug. 21.

GLCAC is a multi-faceted social services agency that assisted 32,648 individuals in 2018 through a range of programs including early childhood education, fuel assistance, WIC nutrition assistance, immigration services, lead poisoning prevention, child abuse prevention, English-language lessons, and consumer protection.
